Carbon steel mesh is specified where the priority is mechanical strength, wear resistance, and cost — not corrosion resistance. It is widely used in mining and quarry screens, concrete reinforcement, machine guards, security partitions, and heavy-duty vibrating screens.
We supply both woven (for screening accuracy) and welded (for panel rigidity) constructions. Wire diameters range from light-gauge woven cloth up to heavy welded panels; surface finish is supplied as drawn, oiled, or pre-galvanized depending on the duty.
Where corrosion is a factor, a galvanized or PVC-coated finish can be applied. For mining and quarry duty, we routinely match wire grade and aperture to the rock profile, moisture, and tonnage to maximize open area and screen life.
