Copper and brass mesh combine high electrical and thermal conductivity with an attractive warm finish. Typical uses include EMI and RFI shielding gaskets, decorative screens, architectural grilles, and grounding screens where the conductivity of the metal itself is part of the function.
Brass (a copper-zinc alloy) is the most common form: it is formable, holds a fine aperture, and resists corrosion in indoor and mildly humid environments. Phosphor bronze is used where higher tensile strength and spring behavior are required. Pure copper is specified for the highest conductivity.
Both metals are supplied as plain woven cloth or as crimped and decorative weaves. Tell us the aperture, the conductivity or shielding requirement, and the panel dimensions and we will recommend the alloy and the weave.
