Galvanized steel mesh pairs the strength and economy of carbon steel with a zinc coating that resists rust in outdoor, humid, and mildly corrosive environments. It is the default choice for fencing, plaster lath, machine guards, and agricultural enclosures where the duty is structural rather than chemical.
Two coating routes are available: hot-dip galvanizing after manufacture for heavier zinc weight and the best outdoor life, and electro-galvanizing for a thinner, smoother finish suited to indoor partitions, shelving, and light-duty mesh.
Common opening sizes run from a quarter inch to four inches in welded panels, with finer woven galvanized cloth available down to around twenty mesh. Tell us the environment, panel size, and any post-form requirement and we will confirm a coating weight and a wire grade to suit.
